Lillian J. “Lil” Tate

June 1, 1935 - July 14, 2018

Lillian J. “Lil” Tate, age 83, of New Prague, died suddenly but peacefully with her daughters at her side on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Lil was born on June 1, 1935 in Cedar Lake Township to Joseph A. and Ludmilla A. (Havlicek) Pavek and was raised in the New Prague area on the family farm. She spent the majority of her life in Mankato while raising her four daughters. Lil spent her final years back in New Prague living at the Millpond Apartment complex, where she especially loved and cherished the many friendships made there. Lil enjoyed bowling and dancing in her younger years and jigsaw puzzles more recently. Her greatest joy came in spending time with her family and friends.

 

Lil is survived by her daughters, Kelly (E.C.) Mueller of Portland, OR, Kim Cunningham of Eau Claire, WI, Koreen (Steve) Sanders of Denver, CO, Kay (Mike) Carter of Omaha, NE; brother, Roger Pavek of Mora, MN; grandchildren, Chris, Hannah, Graham, Haley, & Mikayla. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene Pavek.

No services will be held.

All off us at Millpond will greatly miss our dear friend, Lillian and in her memory we are having a “Celebration of Life” on Wednesday, July 18th at 11 AM. Lillian’s “Girls” will be joining us and we would like to extend an invitation to all of her family and friends also, everyone is welcome.
Lunch is being served.

So sorry to hear my cousin Lil passed away. i visited with her on Wed. at Mala Strana. I was bringing her a couple photos today and found out she wasn’t there any more. Could you please let the girls know that she will be dearly missed. So sad her brother Eugene passed away on April 1st. She said to me last week that she really missed him with tears in her eyes.
