Adam Rein

April 25, 1994 - July 3, 2018

Adam Michael Rein, age 24, of Buffalo Lake, MN, died tragically in a car accident on July 3, 2018. He was born on April 25, 1994 in Fargo, ND to Michael A. and Renee S. Rein. Adam was raised in Eagan, MN and graduated from Burnsville High School in 2012. He enjoyed working as a welder for Anchor Iron in Savage, MN.

He purchased his home in Buffalo Lake in 2015. He fit right in to small town living and the community there welcomed him right off. His home there allowed him space to house and work on his collection of cars, primarily Buicks. He was always willing to lend a hand if a friend needed a vehicle repaired - sometimes going so far as to pay for the parts out of his own pocket if that’s what it took to get someone going again.

Adam enjoyed listening to all types of music and was a talented musician. He played tenor sax, piano and drums, and sang at karaoke night. He also enjoyed going to concerts (even with his parents)!

Adam was considered by many to be an old soul in a young body. He enjoyed listening to his grandparents’ collection of classic country music on vinyl and 8-track, as well as his dad’s 45’s from the 80’s. Adam would sit down with anyone of any age and carry on a conversation. Adam had an infectious smile and few things brought it out like playing with his nephew and niece, Carter and Leah.

Adam was an active member of the Gopher State chapter of the Buick Club of America and was a recent recipient of the prestigious Ed Gunyo Traveling Award.

Adam will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Renee Rein of New Prague (formerly of Eagan); sister, Kayleigh (and brother-in-law Christopher) Kotosky of Somerset WI (formerly of Eagan); nephew and niece, Carter and Leah; grandmother, Linda Persoon of Zumbro falls; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian and Marilyn Rein, formerly of Veblen, SD.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with Pastor Karie Geyer officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM and a luncheon will follow at the Legion Clubhouse in New Prague. Burial will occur at a later date.
