Trudo Neutkens

Trudo Neutkens, age 80, of Lonsdale, formerly of Brandon, SD, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at Mala Strana Health Care Center. Trudo, one of fourteen children, was born September 26, 1934 in Eintdhoven, Netherlands to William P. and Cornelia Petronella Neutkens. He was raised and schooled in the Netherlands, immigrated to Canada in 1959 and then to the USA in 1964. He was a tool and die maker for Plastics Incorporated in St. Paul about 20 years. He married Deloris “Dee” Ogdie on October 11, 1990 in Elko, Nevada. He and his wife owned T & D Lounge at Harris, MN about 25 years and the couple retired to Brandon, SD in 2004. Trudo was a member of Moose Lodge #963 in Maplewood, MN. He was the leader of and played clarinet and saxophone in “The Blue Stars”, playing for many weddings and dances in the St. Paul area. He loved birds and always had canaries.
Trudo is survived by his wife, Dee Neutkens of Lonsdale; daughter, Lorraine (& Tim) Poncin of New Prague; son, Dutch (& Leslie) Dancer of Chaska; brother, Chris (& Ann) Neutkens of Mahtomedi; sister, Corey Kooyman of Cottage Grove; other siblings in Holland; 2 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
