Louise Kukacka, age 81, of New Prague, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague. Louise was born December 30, 1933 in New Prague, MN to Edward L. and Theresa A. (Linn) Hanek.  She was a lifelong resident of New Prague, attending St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and New Prague High School.  Louise married Raymond G. Kukacaka on March 7, 1955, at St. Wenceslaus Church in New Prague.  In addition to raising 6 children, she worked at Suel Printing in the print shop and at Queen of Peace Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.  Louise was an avid reader and enjoyed bingo and crafting, particularly sewing and crocheting.  She also tried her hand at pottery and ceramics.

Louise is survived by her children, Susan (& Bob) Adams of New Prague, Mariann (& Ron) Soy of New Prague, Nancy (& Dale) Kempenich of New Prague, George (& Melodina) Kukacka of Montgomery, Jayne (& Dale) Hirdler of New Prague, Michael Kukacka (& Ivy Jo Strube) of Lonsdale; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond on May 18, 1996; her parents; 1 brother in infancy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday from 4 – 8 PM and Tuesday morning starting at 7:30 until Mass time also at the funeral home.  Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery and lunch will follow at Lakeside Supper Club.
