John & Connie were married on December 23, 1972 in Sergeant Bluff, IA and were blessed with a daughter, Laurie. Connie and John returned to Sioux City in 2006, where John worked at Menards until his full retirement around a year ago.

John and Connie shared a love of classic cars and attending car shows, particularly “Back to the 50’s”. They also had a mutual love of showing Afghan Hounds. Both were avid bowlers in their earlier years. John enjoyed his guns, target shooting, and dancing. Connie was a people person, outgoing and friendly. She loved to laugh and could draw others in with her infectious smile. Her warm, kind presence will be greatly missed by her daughter and grandchildren.
