Eve Marie Musil

August 20, 1969 - December 13, 2021

Our eldest daughter, Eve Marie Musil, passed away on December 13, 2021 in Gilbert AZ. She put up a good two-and-a-half-year fight against cancer! She fought the battles but, in the end, she lost the war.

Eve was born at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague, August 20, 1969. She was baptized, made her First Holy Communion and was confirmed all at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She attended Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School from 1st grade through 8th grade. While attending grade school, she played the role of funny Miss Bickle in one of the class plays; she also was the Statue of Liberty. Eve finished her schooling by graduating from New Prague High School.

For a short time, she worked at Valley Fair, Green Giant, and the paint department at Home Depot. Her career then took a permanent path when she joined the Target team. After moving to Arizona, she transferred to a Target store near her home town of Gilbert. The Target Corporation was Eve’s home for a total of 15 years, 11 of them in Gilbert. While in Gilbert, she also worked part time at Dicks Sporting Goods Store for a short period. Eve will be forever loved and remembered for her great sense of humor, always on top of a joke!

Eve is survived by her parents, Roger and Nancy [ Slavik ] Musil; lifetime partner, Mitch Venne of Gilbert Arizona; sister, Sarah Musil of Bloomington MN; brother and sister-in-law, Stuart and Dawn Musil and their children Aidan, Kiera and Payton all of Shakopee MN; sister and brother-in-law, Alexis and Brad Jenkins and their daughters, Rozlyn and Rylie of Lonsdale; brother, Calvin Musil of New Prague. She is also survived by Aunt Barbara Nytes-Baron, Uncle and Aunt Greg and Lynn Slavik, Aunt and Uncle Stephanie and Pat Murphy, Uncle Robert Slavik and Friend, Val Wiebold and Uncle Phill Slavik ; five cousins.

She is preceded in death by Grama Adeline Musil; Grama and Grampa Raymond and Rose Mary Slavik; two uncles, Jeffery Slavik and Richard Baron; cousin, Terry Nytes.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Bruzek Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will take place at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the Legion Clubroom. Eve’s favorite colors were red and black and casual attire is requested. Memorials can be sent to the family C/O Bruzek Funeral Home.

To the entire Musil family- please accept our deepest sympathy during this incredibly difficult and sad sad time. Seems like yesterday when we were running around the neighborhood causing shenanigans (usually instigated by Eve?!! maybe? 🙂 ) Cherish the memories. Eve is gone way too soon but will never be forgotten!!
Love,
