Shirley J. Meyer, age 95, of New Prague, died peacefully, with her family at her side on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center. Shirley was born on October 11, 1925 in Wheatland Township, Rice County, MN to Theofil M. and Bessie (Novak) Kajer. She attended St. Wenceslaus School and graduated from New Prague High School. Her family took center stage and her greatest joy came in the family gatherings that would be held throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, baking, playing Bridge, Bingo and puzzles, and working in the yard. She remained independent as long as possible but when the time came to need additional help, she thoroughly enjoyed her time at Praha Village with the socialization that it provided. Her ready smile and sunny disposition will be missed by her family and her friends and caregivers.
