I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a wonderful man who loved all sports and enjoyed being involved with whatever sport his son was participating in. May he rest in peace and have been in Heaven an hour before the Devil knew he had passed.

Rob did a thousand acts of kindness every day. I was honored to work with him at EPHS. He once tracked me down when I left my car lights on in the parking lot, he gave me a hand carrying things when I was on crutches, he opened the door for me even when I wasn’t, shared stories about his family, and made connections with every staff member and every student. Rob not only kept our school safe, but he took care of all of us.

Robert was a true servant leader. Every day, he served those around him in many simple, but profound ways. By example, he was a leader to so many, many students. Always quick with a smile, a helping hand, and a kind word. EPHS has lost a true family member who will live on in the hearts and minds of many. EPHS Associate High School Principal, Retired.

Our deepest sympathies to the Becker family. Rob was a kind and caring man. He was a friend and confidant to our son who passed in 2000. Always there to listen and give a bit of worldly advice along the way. His will be big shoes to fill in the halls of EPHS. He will be missed.

So many memories of the family vacations we had taken. Burying Kevin and I in the sand. Getting stuck on the lake and being rescued by Robert and Joann. Memories and love will endure.

My most cherished memories of my childhood and adolescence are the ones filled with Robert. During our family vacations together the two of us would roll the boat to the middle of the lake and spend our days fishing. I remember countless laughs and conversations that will forever fill my heart. During our teen years, we would attend many retreats together. It was together that we met my now husband Todd, and the three of us became a close knit trio. Robert was the best man in our wedding. Robert will forever be in my heart. Thank you for the… Read more »

Robert was our wonderful neighbor and friend for 16 years. He was one of the most kind, thoughtful, compassionate and considerate humans we knew. One of Eric’s most fond memories of Robert was when they went on a trip to the boundary waters. Eric thought they would be roughing it, but Robert surprised him and brought batter and seasonings and they had gourmet fish meals every night. They had many good talks about life. Eric will forever cherish that time together. My memories of Robert were how he always was willing to help. Through the years he selflessly helped us… Read more »

To the dear Becker family, Our deepest condolences and prayers to the entire family on Robert’s passing. While we have not been in his presence for sometime he will always be in our hearts as the special person he was. Robert and our son Brent were great friends throughout their later high school years and onto college. Robert spent many happy times at our home in Belle Plaine. His value base and wisdom were a great fit with that of our family and we came to welcome his visits. Robert and Brent remained friends into their adult lives. They were… Read more »

Fondest memories of Robert was his gentle nature and Donald Duck impersonations. Remember begging him to “do Donald Duck”, when we were on vacation with the Becker family as a kid. My heart aches for his family.

Rob was a great man, I’m so sorry to hear of his untimely passing.
Many interactions with Rob while in high school. He was always kind, patient and fair.
In the years I worked for the district he and I spoke whenever we saw each other. He always had a genuine interest in whatever was occurring at the moment (the robotics team often bent the rules to accommodate our need to practice/drive a 120# robot around the school).

He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for his family and those that were close to him.
