Randy D. Barrington

March 29, 1968 - September 8, 2019

Randy D. Barrington, age 51, of Belle Plaine, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Sunday, September 8, 2019.  Randy was born on March 29, 1968 in New Prague to Wayne A. and Betty Jean (Vaught) Barrington.  He was a proud graduate of New Prague High School and worked at New Options (now Proact) in Shakopee.  Randy loved his job and was always disappointed when a holiday or snow day prevented him from going.  His favorite task at work was punching out gaskets, which he called “orange rings”.  He looked forward to the dance parties and animal visits associated with work.  Randy was a genuine “people person”; he loved gatherings with his co-workers and his family and brought joy to all who met him with his ready smile.  Currently he enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles but in his earlier years, he made many latch hook rugs.  He loved car shows, Monday night wrestling, bowling, and was an avid Vikings fan!  He enjoyed orange pop, his nightly ice cream cone, and McDonald burgers.  Randy will be sadly missed by his many friends, co-workers and caregivers, siblings, nieces & nephews.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Dwayne of New Prague, Terry of Belle Plaine, Beverly Mann of Kansas, Jocelyn (Mike) Young of Kansas, Roger of Montgomery, Gary of Jordan, Jeffrey of Belle Plaine, Jimmy (Jodie) of Lonsdale, Susan Tuma of New Prague, Bobby of Belle Plaine, David of New Prague; many nieces & nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held in Blue Rapids, Kansas, where Randy will be buried alongside his parents.
