Mahowald family~
I have so many fun memories of your mom being in moms bridge club. We had many sweet talks together at your kitchen table. She was always so interested in all of us kids and I remember she loved tulips. To this day when I buy tulips I think of Pat! Warm hugs to your family~

Gretchen and Mahowald family, I am sorry to learn of your dear Pat’s passing. She and your Dad always made us kids feel welcome in your home. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lynne (McDermott) Rickert

The McDermott family from the old neighborhood sends the family our deepest sympathy’s. I loved babysitting for the family and Doc Mahowald was so gentile. I remember going across the street to show him my wiggily tooth and he said , let me see that tooth Lynne. Before I knew it he had popped it out and I was running home with my tooth in hand to tell my parents and put it under my pillow waiting for the tooth ferry. Great memories of the years spent with all the kids on Sunrise Ave. Hope to reconnect for Pat’s service… Read more »

The Ulschmid And Hoeft families send their condolences to the Mahowald Family on your mom’s passing. Pat was one of my mother’s – Kay Strong Ulschmid’s – dearest childhood friends. Many wonderful Lincoln Street memories from Antigo were a part of this lifelong friendship. Sending hugs to Gretchen, Jennifer, Christopher and Jeanine during this difficult time.

Our sympathy to Pat’s children and family. Pat and Lee were wonderful parents and community members. Their children were among my fondest memories of teaching in New Prague.
