Marilyn spent her young life on the family farm, raising small grains and livestock. She moved to Jamestown, ND and worked for the City Water Department for many years before she retired. After her retirement Marilyn worked at the Jamestown Senior Center.

Marilyn loved her garden and spent many hours tending to her flowers every summer. She also loved birds and enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders from her kitchen window. She loved her cat Boots who was a treasured companion.
