Larry B. Bisek

September 19, 1947 - February 1, 2019

Lawrence B. Bisek, age 71, of New Prague, died suddenly at his home on Friday, February 1, 2019.  Larry was born on September 19, 1947 in New Prague to Blasé B. and Elsie J. (Machacek) Bisek.  He graduated from New Prague High School and attended a technology college in Minneapolis.  Larry worked as an electrician his entire life for MVE/Chart and most recently at the airport for MSP.  Larry was a dedicated member of the New Prague Veteran’s Honor Guard, a past commander of  American Legion Post 45, was on the Park Board for many years, and belonged to the Sportsman’s Club.  In his spare time, he loved fishing and hunting.


Larry is survived by his wife, Shirlene Bisek of Chaska; children from his first marriage, Dan (Amber) Bisek of New Prague, Mike (Jamie) Bisek of New Prague, Josie (Dale) Sarno of Nashua, NH, Julie Bisek of Edina; grandchildren, Lindsay, Emily, Rachel, & Jacob; sisters, Patricia (Mark) Whade of Walker, Becky (Bruce) Wolf of New Prague.  He is preceded in death by his parents.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Father  Eugene Theisen officiating.  Visitation will take place 2 hours prior to Mass from 9-11 AM also at the funeral home.  Lunch will follow Mass at the Legion Clubroom. Burial will occur at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery and military honors will be provided by the New Prague Honor Guard Friday afternoon.
