Kathy L. Ellman

Kathy L. Ellman, age 48, of New Prague, died peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague. Kathy was born on September 17, 1970 in New Prague to Kenneth and Irene (Barta) Ellman.  She graduated from New Prague High School and spent her entire life in New Prague.  Kathy had a heart as big as Texas and was loved by all who had the privilege of meeting her behind the counter at Casey’s and Walgreens.  She brought kindness and smiles to everyone she met and was deeply missed when cancer forced her retirement.  Kathy loved the outdoors, especially her flowers and camping.  She enjoyed trips to Mystic Lake with her family and loved her beloved dogs, Buddy and Shady.


Kathy is survived by her spouse, Darrell Kes; son, Cody; mother, Irene Ellman; sisters, Tammy (Slawek) Iwan, Shelly Ellman, Kim (Mike) Delbow; grandmothers, Georgina Barta & Delores Ellman; nieces & nephews, Emily, Michael, Alanis, Kevin, Dustin, Mitchell, Hailey.  She is preceded in death by her father, Ken Ellman.


A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Deacon Bob Wagner officiating. Visitation will take place from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.

i miss her to she was aunt i only got to see her ones till she passed away. she always made me laugh and she was a nice aunt to me
