Eleanor A. Novak, age 96, of New Prague, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on January 6, 2022 at Mala Strana Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Prague. Eleanor “Ellie” was born to John and Emma (Hruza) Havlicek on August 7, 1925 on a farm near Veseli, MN. A couple years and a few more dances later, she married Stanley Novak on August 22, 1944 in Veseli. They lived on a farm a few miles east of New Prague for over 21 years, at which time they sold the farm and moved to New Prague. They raised two daughters, Arlene and Janiece. Eleanor lived in her house until she became ill in December. She worked numerous jobs during her lifetime and finally retired at the age of 85. She enjoyed listening to old time and country western music, playing cards (especially Euchre and 31), working jigsaw puzzles, attending as many dances as possible, and watching her favorite TV shows. She also enjoyed her outings with friends but enjoyed her times most with her family and grandchildren.

Arlene and Jan and families.. your Mom was a sweetheart and lived a hail and hearty life. Seemed she always has something to say or add in all of my conversations with her. I loved her down to earth and common sense ((Midwest) point of view! She was a joy to be around and you could tell she loved her family and grandkids and great grandson! May she Rest In Peace and May your warm and happy family memories guide you through these times of sorrow… thoughts and prayers from the Fosters in Florida
