Glen G. Jindra, age 84, of Shakopee, formerly of Savage, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at St. Gertrude’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on March 4, 1933, to George T. and Anna S. (Velisek) Jindra in Kilkenny Township.  He was raised on a farm in Erin Township, Rice County and graduated from New Prague High School.  He married Eleanor M. Pumper on February 23, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale, MN. Glen farmed all his life and also worked for Lifeworks for 22 years.  He was involved in 4-H and served as township chairman for Webster Township.  He enjoyed fishing and old-time music.

Glen is survived by his wife, Eleanor, of Shakopee; children, Duane (Ana) Jindra of Hutchinson, Diane (Joe) Dressel of Burnsville, James (Camille) Jindra of Minneapolis; brothers, Gordon (Yvonne) Jindra of Janesville, Greg Jindra of New Prague; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, George F. Jindra.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 10:00  AM St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation Wednesday 4-7 PM and Thursday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery with lunch following at the KC Hall.
