Ann Marie Springer Oellrich, age 47, of New Prague, MN passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on January 22, 2017.  Ann was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, cousin, teacher, and adored friend. 

Born June 19, 1969, in Mora, MN, she was the daughter of Genevieve Nordin and the late Frank Springer.  After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, with a degree in Special Education, she taught at various schools, impacted the lives of hundreds of youngsters, primarily special needs students.   On March 8, 1997, Ann married John Oellrich in a small country church near New Richmond, WI.  In her spare time she volunteered for her sons’ activities including scouting, youth sports, robot club, etc., and was an active volunteer and teacher at St. Patrick's church in New Prague.  She enjoyed riding Harleys with her husband, living the lake-life with her family, and tending to her flowers.

 Ann is survived by her husband, John Henry Oellrich, Jr.; sons, Jack (John III) and Luke; mother, Genevieve (Gary) Nordin;  brothers and sisters, James (Connie) Springer, Dianne (Douglas) Jensen, Victoria (Michael) Peterson, David Springer, Vincent Springer, Cynthia (Andrew) Bloom, and Melissa Bassett (Cory Carroll).  Preceded in death by father, Frank Springer; sister, Denise Springer; brother, Daniel Springer.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 – 8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague and at St. Patrick of Cedar Lake Church (24425 Old Hwy 13, Jordan, MN) on Friday morning from 9 - 10 AM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM at St. Patrick Church, followed by lunch in the Church Social Hall.  Burial will occur at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at 1:15 that afternoon.
