Raymond H. Lipinski, age 85, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague.  Raymond was born April 28, 1931 in Ivanhoe, Minnesota, to Alex and Katherine (Bednarek) Lipinski.  He was raised in Ivanhoe, where he attended Parochial School.  On February 25, 1952, Raymond married Dorothy L. Bursack in Wilno, Minnesota and the couple farmed in Taunton, MN until an accident in 1962 forced a move off the farm to West St. Paul for 5 years, where he worked as a  machinist for LCS in Mendota Heights.  The next move took them to Lakeville for 35 years, where he again farmed and worked for Stampings as a machinist.  Before finally moving to New Prague, the couple made their home in Jordon for 13 years.  Raymond loved fishing, playing cards, and wood working projects, such as birdhouses.  He was very gregarious and loved nothing more than get-togethers with friends and especially time with his family.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Dorothy of New Prague; children, Duane (Debbie) Lipinski of Dewey, AZ, Chris Lipinski of Rochester, Judy Zwirtz of Lakeville, Jeri (Charles) Friedges of Elko New Market, Cindy Lipinski of Burnsville, Diane (Brett) Oslund of San Diego, CA; brothers, Marcel (Joan) Lipinski of St. Paul, Leonard Lipinski & Judy of Apple Valley; sister, Maryann Tykwinski & Donnie of Ivanhoe, MN; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lipinski of Maplewood; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex & Kate; brothers, Donnie & Richard Lipinski; son-in-law, Jack Zwirtz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 7, 2016, at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation will take place Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the Legion Clubroom.
