Ronald Segna, age 53, of New Prague, died peacefully at his home, Friday, May 27th, surrounded by his family after a hard-fought battle for 2 ½ years with lung cancer.  Ronnie was born April 2, 1963, in New Prague to Lloyd R. and Caroline L. (Pumper) Segna.  He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from New Prague High School.  On August 20, 1983, he married the love of his life, Cindy L. Skluzacek in Veseli, MN.  Ronnie worked as a maintenance manager at Fabcon, Inc. in Savage for 28 years.  He was a noted connoisseur of chocolate who loved music, playing guitar, western movies, and video games.  A good game of euchre and shooting clay pigeons rounded out his interests.  His greatest joy in life, however, was time with his family and friends.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Cindy of New Prague; children, Jeff Segna of New Prague, Sara Segna (& Ben Connell) of Kingman, AZ, Sami Segna & fiancé, Jake Meyers of New Prague; siblings, Diana (Ron) Valek of Farmington, Lloyd “Kip” (Carol) Segna of Crestline, CA, Larry (Debbie) Segna of Belle Plaine, Steve Segna of New Prague; sister-in-law, Shirley Segna of Burnsville; parents-in-law, Ernie & MaryLou Skluzacek of Lonsdale.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Segna; sister, Sandie Segna.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Deacon Bob Wagner officiating.  Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4-8 pm and Thursday morning from 7:30 until service time at the funeral home.  Lunch will follow at the KC Hall.
